We are at constant war with the world from the moment we wake up and till the time we are into our bed. For petty issues & for significant ones, we fight.
We indulge in a variety of fights:
sofisticated fights to get justice like with autowallahs or a CSE of a Service Provider
road rage
home-front love-hate fights with our closed ones
rivalry & cold war with our colleagues
Other than these, there is one ultimate fight which we all indulge in. And that is the fight with ourselves. Yes, knowingly or unknowingly, we all take active part in this priviledged fight with our own alter ego!
*Its these wars that we need to address before leaping towards the wars that are happening on the borders.
A movie called "Black & White" is a fine example of the internal war that we all need to win. Once each individual emerge as a winner from this internal battle, there will be peace all over. If black has to vanish then only a colour like white will be of any help.
. as a cheerful & bright day prevails a dark & morbid night. a positive thought prevails a negative one.
Story
Black and White is a revolutionary movie and definitely it is one such movie which really talks about solving the problem called terrorism!
Anil Kapoor as Rajan Mathur represents white and Anurag Sinha as Numir Qazi represents black.
Black is as usual a morbid-cruel-rigid person whose only aim in life is to destroy India and Indians. His morbidness and rigidness could easily be gauged by this statement -
"jo muslim nahi hai usse jine ka koi haq nahi hai."(loosly right. I dont remember the exact statement made by him.)
White is not the usual white as most of us would have thought. White here represents a person who is a true Indian. A person who does not believe in doing things for India but for Indians. A person who would take care of strangers and elderly in a way which would make us feel as if whole India is his family.
There are very few movies which are able to describe a point with the way the actor behaves and thus making the whole process implicit rather than explicit and lending the movie and the character a natural touch. Black and White is one such movie.
The whole movie has Delhi in its background and Mr. White is a professor residing in Chandani Chowk with his wife(played by Shefali Chaya). Mr. Black arrives in Delhi with a deadly mission - a mission to explode himself along with thousands of others who gather to see 15th August parade in the Red Fort in Delhi. Mr. White is not at all associated to this mission; neither is he a blockage nor is he a supporter. But due to some happenings, both come togather. Black comes in contact with white and here begins a classic cinema which is a delight to watch.
Will Anurag Sinha succeed in his mission?
What would the friendship between the black and white lead to?
For getting answers to these questions, go and watch Black and White.
*Performances
*No doubt about the performances. All of them have given a performance of their lifetime.
The newbie Anurag Sinha did justice to the role of a young suicide bomber.
Shefali Chayya is one actress who is a delight to watch. Whatever roles she plays, she does it with so much conviction that we are compelled to be impressed.
Anil Kapoor has once again proved his niche as an actor who is capable to do roles which are truely remarkable.
*End-note
*Black & White is definitely a movie to be watched. This is a sort of movie which will not only move you, touch you but it will go a step ahead and will leave a deep mark in your heart.
Death & Disease!
Disease is just a function of body; and death is a function of time!
Terrorism is a disease which has afflicted our world; the need of the hour is to kill the disease and not to kill the body. Someone would say that we need to kill the terrorists as they are the germs who cause this disease; but I would say that killing them will only multiply them. Do we think that is a solution. Definitely not!
Healing & not killing is the key to fight terrorism!
