I don’t know why I haven’t written a review of the Blackberry for last one year.I must say this is’THE’ best handset that you will ever get in the price range that it is available now. I am atechno savvy person but this phone has exceeded all my expectations. Though these are my own views and many of you may differ with my views on this.
But still I will list down the few+ points of this handset -
The push mail is amazing & shoud be as its Blackberry’s forte and no one match them in that.
SMS has been like a breeze post I upgraded it to OS 5.0
Camera is good. I have actually compared the 3.0 mp camera of Nokia E series and I tell u picture quality is far better than that of Nokia. Also the video shoot is amazing. Also in OS 5.0 the picture navigation has been updated and it works really nicely.
Music quality is decent and best part of it is that u can use your regular ear plug and can enjoy the music. As this device support 16GB extended memory u can have good collection of songs though I will recommend to use 2-4 GB card. The dedicated music keys on the top of the phone are a boon for Mumbaikar who travel by the local trains.
Social Networking - I amusing Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Flicker for last 1 year & mind you these are really superbly application Blackberry have developed.
Web Surfing - Initially in old OS it was slow but with OS 5 it has improved. It’s really nice to check cricket scores, news on move.
Apps - my app list for Financial purpose - CNBC, WSJ India, Wordpress for blogging, Dictionary.com & Google application set for blackberry & for chatting yahoo, MSN, GTalk & of course Blackberry Messenger. Pls note that 256 MB is not that short if your are using it diligently.
Its Blackberry.the brand speaks for itself.this is for those who value the brand.
Not so Negative list:-
The phone lacks the GPS, but the Google maps take care of it nicely.
Bluetooth problem - Initially I was facing lots of issue in sending fileusing Bluetooth. But for my surprise the OS 5.0 has eliminated this problem.
Absence of 3G – well at the price range the handset is available and looking at the current status of 3G roll out we can still ignore this point.
In past I had heard that Blackberry make you addicted to it.& also, I also heard how US President Barak Obama is missing his blackberry post becoming president……and Now.I can proudly say I am totally addicted to my Blackberry. and feel incomplete without it.its like pandora box full of surprises.
I strongly….very strongly recommend this ‘complete’ phone….bravo Blackberry u have done really commendable work in launching this economical still featureful handset. I have really become the BLACKBERRIAN and don’t think won’t ever get shifted to other brands.
PS: Blackberry Torch is going to give tuff competition to iPhone 4.
