Having nothing better to do yesterday, I decided to watch a movie with a friend. Since he couldn?t get tickets for Kisna we settled for Blackmail. Let me tell you that so far Ajay Devgan has impressed me with his earthy performances. In fact, this movie has brought his charitable instincts to fore, because I cannot think of any other reason why Mr. Devgan would act in this movie except as a favor to his cousin who happens to be the director.
The movie is utter carp in every sense of the word. It is in fact is a notch below a movie where Deno Moreo goes to Lucknow and falls in love with Bipasta Basu (I can?t remember the title). The script is not very interesting and my building watch man can direct better with the same script. The story goes something like this: ? Devgan is a ex-rally driver who has turned to rescuing criminals from cops like Sunil She? oops.. sorry Suneil Shetty.
Diya Mirza is Devgan?s weepy, helpless pregnant wife. In one of the car chase sequence, a locomotive hits Devgan?s car and Diya suffers injuries and dies in hospital after delivering a baby boy. Suneel(I still can?t get his name right) adopts the boy and brings him up as his own son. After 8 years Devgan is released and he kidnaps his own son or Sunil?s son, in order to get Shetty(that?s better) to reveal the whereabouts of his child. There are also some goons in the middle who want both Devgan and Shetty dead.? I?am sorry I can’t go on any further with this muck.
I am on my way have my head examined and remove all traces from my mind of this movie?s existence.
