I am familiar with Blogger. Its where I started my first blog. The site is best for hobby writing, or something you want to keep private.
If you want to start a site and grow it, Blogger isn’t your best bet. My first site ran properly for the first few months. But the I started encountering problems like slow speed, server down and functionality. I had to move my blog to Wordpress and the process is exhausting, not a five minute experience.
Monetizing the site is also difficult as the domain .blogspot.com is not trusted by all ad networks.
It gives you limited space and pages. So eventually you would have to move to other CMS.
So, unless you are starting for fun(like college, school, family) chose other CMS and good hosting.
