Yes, blogger.com lets you get, set, and go, but doesn’t allow you to fly. Though Its good for beginners, experienced bloggers would find it of no use. Beginners can learn how to blog and get used to blogging features, it is a great platform for them to learn how to blog. Initially, it provides all the basic features required for blogging but as you learn and advance, you would find yourself binded. Blogger.com doesn’t offer great features for advanced bloggers. You can earn some dollars through it not much. For that you would have to choose another platform like wordpress.
Blogger.com does not offer good SEO tools, its speed is low, support is not great, takes time in indexing, but I would recommend it for new bloggers as it is free and lets you learn about blogging.
