A typical sheldon thriller

Blood line review

This is a typical Sidney Sheldon creation , one of his earliest works . Somehow the master makes it interesting and irresistible .the story revolves around the character of Elizabeth roffe who is entrusted with the responsibility of managing a huge pharmaceutical company on the sudden death of his father. Sidney portrays Elizabeth as a strong yet vulnerable, beautiful and intelligent. You would develop a liking for her character. She is inexperienced but she has developed a strong sense of respect for her great grandfather who against all odds built this empire and this prompts her not to sell the stock of the company in spite of mounting pressure from the other board members (members of her family). She found herself to be the target of an assassination attempt, this seems to be the work of an insider (probably one of the board members) or anyone working in the company, who is desperate to get rid of her cause she is one blocking the sale of the stock . Sheldon creates a series of incidents which ties each one of the board members into the suspect list . In fact as the story moves on the suspect list only gets lengthened intriguing the readers. Then we are presented with a tremendous climax. This is a book in which everyone is a suspect so, beware don’t even think of having a premonition .in short Sheldon has successfully woven a trail of incidents to present us a complete thriller!!
