I am using BMTC service from 2009. Once Namma metro started most of the people completely avoided BMTC services due to high cost of tickets and delay in reaching destination places because of traffic jam. BMTC is the biggest transport in Bangalore but lack of maintenance and planning its going in loss day by day. If below suggestion they adopted lot of operating cost would be saved.
1) Out of 100% only 50% to 60% of AC buses should be released on road during non pick hours ( 11.00 AM to 04: 00 PM) because so many AC buses will carry only 3 to 5 passengers for long distance of travel so if they avoid these buses they can save operating cost as well as traffic jam will be reduced.
2) Ticket charges must be reduced because of high charge of tickets many people prefers to go by there own vehicles. If they reduce the price obviously many people will use this service and genarate more income.
BMTC service must fulfill the requirements for general public first later they need to think for other sources of income but now during pick hours many BMTC buses using as private cabs it's directly hitting general public.
