Victory Venkatesh is known for family entertainers has come after a good gap with this flick directed by Gopichand Malineni. Popular Producer Bellamkonda Suresh making the film with added attractions in the form of Trisha, Saloni and a proven script in hands.
Though this film is titled as bodyguard, the story is basically a love story. The format and conflict point in this film is strong. Hence this film proved to be successful in many languages. I have not seen Bodyguard in other languages, hence can’t comment about how much is altered in Telugu version. The movie starts off slowly, but film is interesting from the scene where heroine starts calling hero from a private number. The senti scene before interval is good.
There is nothing novel about either the climax or the film’s grammar of romance. What makes this film special is its slice-of-life quality, credible characterizations, delicate emotions and skilfully conceived scenes. Twists come suddenly and change the course of lives. The pain and the dilemmas will connect well with anyone. Characters behave realistically. For example, Keerthi’s predicament and conflict are so nicely etched that you will think that any girl in her place would have behaved in that way. Venkatadri falls and rises in love like anybody might have. Bodyguard’s heart is at the right place. It is one of the beautiful love stories to have happened in years
