Located in the hotspot area of the city, Bombay Brasserie-a well renowned fancy restaurant in Chennai.
I along with 5 of my friends went on a sunday afternoon. The ambience was clean and very good.Glass doors, sunlight directly entering through the roof everything was really a pleasant experience.Even the water was served in a glass bottle with herbal leaves and stems. At that moment, everything was seemed to be so perfect!
Then we started to order the food.As two of them were vegetarians we ordered both veg and non- veg.As starters, we ordered Prawn techa, Makhmali Murgh Tikka, Galawati Kabab and Tandoori Gobi.
On seeing the price list then came the shocker. Each starter was found to be at the minimum rate of Rs 350/-At one moment upon seeing the rates we convinced ourselves like we gonna taste one of the best starters in the city but its not so.Both in qualityvand taste it was quite normal. And even the quantity was too low. There qas nothing special rather than normal swt of chicken and prawns. We had no idea why the food were priced so much!
As main course we had mutton biriyani which is Rs 450/-we started to cut off the order by sharing the food! There is nothing good in that biriyani except normal mutton and basmati rice!
Everything was seemed to be overpriced! Even the Gulab jamun along with vanilla icecream was Rs 180/-
At last even in bill, they also included service tax even after the implementation of GST! We yelled at the supervisor to remove the service tax and he did so! It is a poor act of customer service.
Definitely its not worth for the money! If you wanna make an expensive try go for it.
