Boots tea tree shampoo claims on the bottle to help improve the health of hair and scalp, as it contains extract of tea tree, well documented for its natural antiseptic properties, it also helps in the
control of head lice too!
The shampoo and the conditioner come in clear plastic bottle and is a rather nauseating bright green colour.
The smell of the shampoo and conditioner is a very pleasant fresh minty flavour, almost good enough to eat (although my 2 year son old doesn’t recommend it!)
You only require a small amount of the shampoo to get a really good lather going, I use about half a palm full for thick long hair. It takes quite a long time to rinse out
of the hair however and I find a second wash is not usually necessary.
Whilst rinsing you are surrounded by the most heavenly minty/menthol scent (no smell of tea tree which is rather a musty smell, not to everyones liking) and you can feel the tingling fresh feeling all over your scalp, this sounds awful but is quite pleasant, ( I thought I was having a bad reaction to the shampoo.....so new users beware). Men beware of using this in the shower as when the shampoo runs down your body it does tingle!!!!!
I have been using this shampoo for about 3 months now, and it appears to be keeping my greasy hair under better control than most other shampoos I have tried. It is widely available in Boots stores and at £1.99 a bottle is reasonably priced.
