Since my childhood, I have great love for music. My first interaction was with our Murphy radio(Valve one). I was fascinated with volume, band selection and tuning knobs. When I got access to this set, I started exploring it and got electric shocks many times.
During my summer vacations, we used to go to my grand father’s place in Ajmer. Two of my uncles were unmarried and had a good friend circle. One day my uncle took me to his friend’s house, which had got a bank’s job. His friend had Sonodyne music system with cassette player and turn table. This was my first experience to listen to a good music system. I had great impressions of this visit and wanted to have one like that.
When I was in college, I got my first two in one as gift from my papa. I remember that I had to sit in cupboard to listen to my favorite English songs as my sister won’t allow me to play these because she hated English songs. Those were the days.
As I grew old, I had Panasonic, Phillips Power House and then Samsung CD player. But my desire for a good home theater/music system was growing stronger every day. None of the above system could fulfill my requirements. I started my home work for finding out the products. I also attended A/V exhibitions as these gave an opportunity to have demonstrations of various products in dedicated rooms.
