I swear by Britannia bourbon biscuits. I’ve tried some of the other brands and, somehow, they didn’t get it right. The other day, Britannia changed the packing. On the packed supermarket shelves, I couldn’t spot Britannia bourbon. I knew Sunfeast [ITC] had been putting out some decent biscuits in recent times [2 years? more?]. So when I saw the Sunfeast bourbons, I decided to give them a try.
Packing was neat unlike the slightly cumbersome Britannia. Score one. The biscuits were really crisp. And I liked the taste. Imagine my surprise when I saw that they were priced lower than Britannia! Maybe the cost differential was only temporary but still great.
To top it all, my wife, who swears by Britannia’s Mariegold biscuits also had the same experience with Sunfeast Marie biscuits - crisper, cheaper, though she thinks they’re slightly too sweet.
I later found the Britannia bourbon with the changed packing - but now I have a choice. Especially if Sunfeast keep up the good work.
