I had purchased BSA street rider from Reliance Auto zone, HSR Layout, Bangalore on 01 Apr 2012. Since then the problems started. within four months the battery was drained out and on complaint after 1 month the battery got replaced. After 2 months, the motor got some problem as some wires got damaged due to over heating. complaint was lodged and 21 days it took to get it repaired.
On Jan 13 the replaced battery was worn out. The battery was sent to Chennai for replacement and AFTER 4 AND HALF MONTHS, on 14 May 2013 it got replaced. IN AN YEAR THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATIVE FOR ONLY SIX MONTHS.
The service is so poor as each and every spare parts are to be delivered from CHENNAI. Earlier once the vehicle was sent to reliance auto, HSR for free service and it was kept there for 3 weeks for want of technician from Chennai. Fed up with this, the bike was taken back without any service.
Reliance Auto never bothered to attend the complaints ever and advised to contact Chennai for all repairs and the service engr comes from Chennai when they are free.
MY SINCERE ADVISE, IF ANYBODY WANTS TO PURCHASE AN ELEC SCOOTER BETTER AVOID BSA. DON’T BE FOOLED SEEING THE SMALL PRICE DIFFERENCE AGAINST OTHER E- BIKES MAKES SUCH AS ULTRA, AMPERE ETC .
