I had bsnl cellone connection for past 18 months. I purchased it for 3500 Rs one year plan. That was the most ecomomical service that date. Monthly spending was working out rs 256 per month with 256 talktime.
Initially the service was good. But coverage in gound floors and basement of big buildings was the grey area. I comparimised on that. Anyway I was looking for economical service and not for quality.
Then it all started with breaking of call packets. The voice of either mine or of calling party was breaking. And it was breaking very badly. This was in last nov. Then in Jan the service again resumed to its normal stature.
After april or so the quality started decaying like a radioactive element. Come august and all my friends had suggested me to throw the bsnl sim, as most of the time I was not reachable.
Then the serice was only worsening day by day. Instances like network blockout for a day or so happened twice/thice in last six months. The call clearity is very very poor moreover there is no sureity that the call when connected will able to convey your voice to calling party. Two way conversation is rarity.
Frustated me, switched to next mobile service.
I complainted to the customer care but it seems that they never care.
there are few good points also. tariff is cheap and trasnpernt biling. No one can beat BSNL CELLONE in roaming. That is true. The calling rate is cheapest amongst all. And in roaming I used to use my phone extensively, mostly for calling. Notably I did got coverage when I went to trek in western ghats, when I went to some unkown beach, where other cell services were dead,
