Well the following experience that I had with BSNL customer support Im sure many of u guys would have experienced......let me narrate it..
1st experience with call center (Number: 1500)

Well I registered for the broadband Dataone connection from bsnl a couple of days ago.....as it was announced on the chennai telephones website......
At tht time they had NOT put the tariff details for the service....
But I got a mail on 7th of january abt the tariff information I checked the tariff and got some doubts......so 2 days later i.e on 9th of january...i wanted to clarifiy certain information regarding the usage amt and plan structure....so wht I did is I called the call center of bsnl 1500 number...
I went through the menu and selected the broadband option......i selected 0 and was speaking to a customer support representative....
I enquired abt the tariff information.....to my surprise she said the tariff is not announced yet....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told her tht it was announced 2 days before.....and she kept repeating it tht it will be announced later.......
Then I asked her to ask her supervisor and get back to me........which she did and still said they had no idea abt the tariff being announced!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the poor state of the call center of bsnl....
2. Experience with DATAONE- 1600 424 1600 number....

Well its almost 1month since I registered with Online for Dataone Connection. I was assuming tht I would get a call from BSNL for data one connection. 15 days back I happened to call the 1500 number and the customer support person told me tht I have to register with at my Customer support office. Well they could have atleast send a email to all the online registered customers abt this fact .
If at all I didnt call them I would still be thinking tht I wouldd get a call. Well the best customer support is yet to come. I went to my customer support center at EVK Sampath salai, near Periyar building in Chennai, and I was informed cooly by the person there that they have stopped accepting forms for DATAONE CONNECTION!!!!!. I was also informed that they would advertise in the papers that when they would start accepting new applications in my area in Early march. SO MUCH FOR REGISTERING IT AS SOON IT GOT LAUNCHED!!.
The call centres of BSNL are like Andaman and Nicobar after Tsunami. Totally cuttoff from the reality on whats happening on ground. They are ISOLATED, CLUELESS, UNINFORMATIVE for customers. They neither have the latest updates from BSNL, nor do they respond properly.
Some customer support representatives cut the call as soon as you ask them questions( On BSNL Products!!).
I suppose u need to ask only Cinema related Questions to them!!
1600 number for me gets disconnected every 1 Minute. I dont know what could be the reason for it. The line disconnects as soon as I get the line and start speaking with the customer support persons.
2. experience........with call center and mandeveli branch(chennai) of bsnl

I wanted to get the excel prepaid card from chennai telephones...which gets sold very quickly as soon it gets lauched.....
I enquired the call center of bsnl......they told me tht it is getting lauched only at mandeveli branch of chennai.......
I enquired full details abt the amount to be paid and stuff like tht and got the contact numbers of mandevli office......the customer support person gave me 3 numbers......
I tried around 10 times each of these numbers......and got through once......while 9 of the other times the phone kept simply ringing!!!!!
The time tht I got the line.....the person took the phone and kept it down..........i was clearly able to listen to two of the employeees discussion between them........Finally after frantically calling aloud I disconnected the call and set out to mandeveli branch to collect the card.......there was surprise waiting for me there!!!!!!
As I went there to mandeveli branch.....i went to the teleshoppe of bsnl....and got the information that the Excel prepaid 3500 rupees card got sold 4 days back........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wel one would argue itz a government run organization and u cant expect much ......
Well currently the Bfone connection of bsnl is getting huge amounts of surrenders if this quality of service goes on and if other providers get much cheaper tariff details.....then bsnl would definitely become Extinct....
I hope Mr. Dayanidhi Maran looks at this issue.........I know he was unhappy at lookingg customers lining up just to get the prepaid cards.....well letz hope he putz them up in practice and gets things in order quickly.........
Do you this kinda of shortage in prepaid cards in other providers like AIRTEL, AIRCEL, HUTCH or RELIANCE???
I think no..........
HOPING FOR SOME BETTER SERVICE FROM BSNL........
