I have been using bullet electra for the last 2 years now. Before that I had possesed and used almost all 100-150 cc bikes, TVS, Suzuki-samurai, Yamha Rx100, Hero honda, Rajdoot, Bajaj kawasaki, etc. over the last 14 years.
This is bike has a diffrent class. And once I have used this bike for a significant period of time .it is difficult for me to go back to the small babies.
I have travelled frm Delhi with this bike to Kelong and Chail in HP, on two diff trips with my family(spouse and son). It climbed up the rohatang pass(12, 000 feet) with full loan.3 of us plus our luggage, without a hitch. It is joy riding on long distances on this bike. Due to the weight it is sooooooo stable, and your arms, neck dont ache. In fact my years of ache around the neck and back ache is gone after I started using this bike.
The negetives of this bike.well disc brakes are must.i did not buy and I regret it. It is so heavy that you are a bit unsure with drum brakes at high speeds 80 Kmh+. One has to be ready for spending on petrol, I get 36 KM pre liter in city conditions, and I use my electric start effectivly in red lights or jams. On highways I got+ 1 -2 KM.basically the higher speeds eat more fuel that you save on less braking. The lights are good, but at high speeds best to put 2 extra lights. And finally for all royal enfield bike .one has to be ready for some minor oil leakages around the engine. One has to learn to wipe it off!
