The New Unit Construction Engine - Thunderbird Twin Spark Engine Bike has been released with all its previous minor hick ups fixed. The Bike is around Rs.105940/- on road. The new changes are,
Twin spark Engine.
Hydrolic Tappet adjustment system.
Internal Gear and Clutch Assembly.
Very high Mileage. The Showroom guy says 43 kmpl.I am getting 42 before 1st service itself.
21 BHP as compared to 18 earlier.
A slight change in the Handle position. Very comfortable in 100+ kms ride.
The Initial Pickup is excellent. The ride is cool, though it looks big, the weight is not noticed as the bike is in motion. Felt like a better model, than the earlier ones. And Even the traditional Oil leak problem is fixed. I am not sure, the thump can be compared with Electra or Standard. It seems a little low. And the price of Rs.105940 includes self start, Disc brakes.
The Product is specified on Royal Enfeild’s official website. I was told that the said Showroom has sold 22 bikes till date. And there were no complaints from anybody. The fuel tank is around 16 ltrs, and reserve of 2 litres. I had taken it on a maiden ride to Mysore, the bike is really wonderful in long trips. The engine smoothned up after 60 kms into the ride.
