The name has found a new meaning through Bunty Aur Babli. The Refugee starter, who had to go through hard times despite his father’s legacy has come on his own. After reasonable success in Yuva and Dhoom Abhishek has now got a truly popular independent performance.
The story of BAB is nothing great. Its a silly story of two ambitious youth trying to make big money and succeeding at that. The ease with which they fool others is something that can only be seen in filmi world.
The real highlight of the movie are its songs. All the numbers are hummable and stay on with you for a long time. The train song ’dhadak dhadak’ is rhythmic and Aiswarya’s item number is sizzling. The nach baliye song is a happy song while chupchupke provides a romantic effect. The title song captures the mood of the movie very well.
Abhishek’s acting skills (even though his dancing is awful) and Rani’s versatility keeps the movie going. Amitabh’s role looks like an after thought.
A happy movie that can give you total time pass.
