I always buy butterfly products because of its quality and it long
lasting life. This time, I specifically asked my father to purchase
this Butterfly 3 jar Emerald mixer grinder. I have been using it for
less than six months now and I already have multiple problems with this
product.
This is what the manufacturer’s claim about the particular defective part in my mixer grinder.
"Special grade Nylon couplers that grip the jars firmly and withstand enormous strain".
The following is my experience:
1. The white NYLON COUPLER that comes as a part of the fixed
blade assembly started scrapping white pieces of dust as
soon as I started using. With each use parts of the white ridges at
the base keeps coming off. I am afraid when this white base is going
to completely break! I know I have a replacement. But I am pretty
sure that the same will happen when I replace the white base at the
bottom.
2. Very quickly the turning knob with different speed listed that
is used to operate the mixer cracked and I have temporarily fixed a
tape around it. Again the unit came with just one replacement knob,
which I dont want to risk cracking.
We spent close to Rs. 5000/- for buying this product because
of butterfly products being known for its sturdiness and long life. I
am very sorry to say that I am very disappointed at this product. I
waited 3 years to get this product from India.

I e-mailed them about this and not surprising no replies! The unit comes with replacement NYLON COUPLERS. But it is very hard to detach the existing one and I could not find a service center in the US. So, I am stuck with a defective product which I can’t use/repair sitting in my kitchen pantry!!!!
