I am regular online buyer since last 4-5 years and I have happily used eBay, Myntra, Flipkart, Infibeam & BindassBargain in the past but this was my first and last time at buytheprice.
I bought a phone from them and they dispatched it within 2 days but when it didn’t reach Bangalore from Hyderabad in next 2-3 days I checked out ARAMEX(The cheap courier they use) website and surprised to noticed that it has reached Bangalore 2 days back and still not delivered. Next 3 days I fought with them to get it delivered but they are so thick skinned that everyday they updated status that "Nobody found at home" even though whole family was waiting.
I tried calling buytheprice support but nobody picked the phone and in the end I opened a ticket with this complaint. 24 hr after ticket nothing happened and shipment still not delivered, so I again shot a mail to buytheprice warning them to sort it out otherwise I will file complaint because ARAMEX meanwhile updated the status as delivered without delivering my stuff. After looking at my warning they woke up from sleep and sent a message back that they will send me proof of delivery soon. The phone got delivered next day, i.e. 8th day from placing the order and when I asked ARAMEX guy why did they updated false status on 7th day, they said they have to show delivery within 7 days!
I am so disappointed and aggravated after fighting this war with customer service of ARAMEX and buytheprice that I would never buy from them and never recommend them to anyone. Instead of me running after them, buytheprice should have taken status of all the dispatched items from courier and update the customers about potential issue with delivery. Do they really expect a shipment can take 8 days from Hyderabad to Bangalore??
