I have order a gold ring for myself, I have chosen the design based on which the making charges revolves. The stores person given estimation charges of Rs 1500 for the ring I order. When the ring was made and I was handed over the actual bill, to my surprise the making charges in actual bill was Rs. 2900(approx). It’s almost a variance of 100%. To give u stats …….
Total ring cost 17, 500 INR, on this if u analyse the extra 1400 paid on making charges its almost comes to 8%. This is very strange are these guys into business or robbing of their customers. It’s an advice to all the customer stay away rather getting cheated later on and also if you are prudent spender guess u will never step in to this store again.
I do have experience in jewelers business and most of these guys give estimation which is 100%, if not, 99.99% accurate. I felt cheated by C Krishniah Chetty & Sons(CKC & Sons), Bangalore. On this I have even talked Vinod Hegde and even he is not willing to except the mistake rather talking of some cox and bulls story and giving unwarranted justification.
I thought very high of these stores but unfortunately, 99% of the work is outsourced to other goldsmith. This was my first and last experience at these stores, wonder how they made to lavish showroom next to Safina plaza. I recommend places like Kirtilals or Abharan is much better and also value for money. Thanks
