I booked a cab from Pondicherry to Bangalore for INR 3, 736.2(including an advance of INR 989). Only 45 minutes before departure, I was suddenly informed that the fare had increased to INR 4, 536, leaving me no choice but to accept.
The driver arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes late, and at the end of the ride I had to pay INR 7, 000 in cash, almost double the original confirmed fare. Even worse, after collecting this money, the driver tried to pressure me into paying even more, which I refused.
I immediately sent a detailed email to CabBazar, explaining the whole situation: the last-minute price increase, the drivers delay, the final cash amount of 7, 000 INR, and his attempt to get more money.
Instead of addressing these serious issues, the driver then began to call and message me repeatedly, asking me to close my complaint. Shockingly, CabBazar ignored this harassment and even suggested that I confront the driver myself on a phone call.
To summarize, my initial budget was INR 3, 736.2 and I ended up paying INR 7, 989, more than double, which the company tried to justify as taxes.
This shows a complete lack of professionalism and accountability: last-minute price changes, delays, overcharging, attempted extortion, harassment, and zero customer protection.
I strongly advise others not to use this service.
