Dancing in the sun ...

A hot day - just out of an A/c bus and down towards British council library - a couple of meetings and then need to have a tummy fill.

What do I do - well, this here is the nice routine how the day ends.

Take my stuff, pick up a biker or car magazine - or the book I wanna look at, or the movie I wanna check out through the midday vendor sitting outside near the EROS. Next I step into Sundance.

Up the the first storey - step into a little loo - (er. this is a wee bit small, ok - so gals, but I don’t see this stopping most of them from checking this out - most of them are onto the pitchers in their own self contained groups). Could be a triple x old monk, if the table next to mine orders it and the smell and color captivates the senses - heck I resist this during the day but the color and flavors under the nose from the neighboring table can change the mind and heart of the stoutest.

A table to seat four - neat chairs, your own privacy, no one stares and u can always smile at the person at the next chair and do your own thing. So mine - check the waiter and have him to get my favorite - a mug of Officers beer (u get a free) and a ninja burger variant. Along comes the frothy stuff with the guy in the orange shirt and cool cucumber style, salted peanuts with it. I taste the mug, open whatever reading or browsing material and scan the pages.

10 minutes later comes the burger - plenty of meat and potato chips - (hey common - I never am for the healthy foods, not after a hot day and I wanna have the day to let off). I make the calls for a movie multiplex or customer calls to confirm the next demo, or sell some zitty of the new package or generally bug some female friend at work mentioning the good stuff I am having.

hmm - what are the others onto - well sizzlers are hot if you are in the groups. There is a group discussing some targets, sometimes you see the saturday office, party out there. And eh -- maybe the mtv bakra king - cyrus with his kid making friends with a stray, a health white just outside while the rest of his family order the mains.

The music is good - for those who like good ole rock or generally western music, not too loud but okay flavor, right volume so you need not yell to converse.

iced tea (not this is good stuff, real good stuff), 99 Rs combo, sizzlers, sandwiches, soups, chinese fare, pork and fish - steak, cheesey stuff, goan variants,

hmm ... our man does take his time getting the cheque and the change, but coool man - he is the type that nothing unfazes him, he does not bug you or hover around the table, he is prompt and never messes up the order, he is friendly and helps you making right choices.

And therein ends a 90 minute luxury of a mug of beer plus the free one plus a 70 bug ninja plus tax all within 150, a more educated mind with the reading, a good evening what with the mobile, a few good encounters smiling at stuff happening or the odd ribbing or the little joke or joust of member x at member y at the next table, a eyebrow raised at the odd f-word from a neighboring group of collegeites - but all in all a fun place to be in.
