PEACE.
Have heard about this word almost everywhere in sermons, at school, at normal workplaces, at home, in the television, at debates, chat shows, Beauty pageants, etc etc. but am just another individual who follows everybody believing in Peace. but what is peace. its just like a grandfather telling his grandchild about, the emptiness with cleanliness in abundance that ruled Mumbai years back before urbanization, on a large scale, with different links like migration, took place. its only a fade imagination that the grandchild like me can have realizing the picture or merely fantasizing it to some extent.
on similar grounds I am fantasizing or convincing myself that the world in which we are living today is to some extent peaceful never knowing the actual picture that signified the word Peace decades back. Decades back? What happened decades back. u mean to say as one of my friends on MS mentioned in his review . Hitler, Alexander the Great, Napoleon all such stalwarts brought peace in the world they lived in by expansion of territories and by spreading the red carpet colored by the blood of their very own, every combat they fought. wow. then I am left bewildered again. is this Peace?!.
well, then I think the world I am living in now is much bearable rather than all the visual bloodshed seen not just at one place like today’s borders but everywhere, wherever, whichever, horizon your eyes can take you. but its still a dilemma coz, I have been taught in school and in church sermons during Moral science classes, that Peace is some state which is free of hatred, full of love- happiness, contentment, a state where u can breathe ur bit of fresh air uninterrupted, unbiased.
Weird but I find these aspects quite remote in the present scenario, well for that matter in any scenario. but still I believe in peace.
Again I have viewed peace through a different perspective, through a peephole from where I could find occasional distress and discontent, now that has transformed into SUDDEN distress and discontent. no I don’t call it a catastrophe, nor they are accidental incidents. but its what I read and witness through media reports and records. It is a deadly virus of terrorism and a cold war that has given indiscriminate seizures and has ceased human thoughts to decide for themselves coz death is unpredictable now. it can, may or will be at the next turning point of ur very crucial moment.
But, still we live with faith. coz. we have moulded ourselves with a never ending material that binds us strongly with the mortar of faith, with that strength present somewhere around us that has been given shapes and forms at the sole discretion of the many elite responsible for the unhealthy foundation that has disturbed the many members that formulate a living society, including Peace that has a very adulterated meaning in today’s dialogue. thats what, as a part of the new generation I have interpreted about the so called, noun, Peace.
how far have we reached to say that we are living in a peaceful environment. yes I am proud to say that I am living in a peaceful environment, coz since the time I have been in a position to analyze and learn, I have learnt a pellucid truth that we live in a world that believes in Peace, but equally surrounded and encased with terrorism with a different face . a different mask that changes with time and technology.but still we will continue living within its realms not bothered about the sudden tremors it might give shattering umpteen number of families. but its okkk. coz no one moans, nobody pleads, nobody stands up against it, yes, but, every thing in nature has exceptions born to do so. but a generalized version would speak about majority. and majority today works mechanically. see a tragedy, nod against the atrocity, may even wait a while to moan, but then everything comes back to normal. This normalcy today is said or called or recognized as PEACE.
Huh, its the fact, being practical means a lot of energy wasting on issues that cater to such intermediate situations. its not a permanent factor, its not even a background image, it camouflages with sudden instances of destruction.
I think people believe in this theory that Peace prevails but u can’t stop the associated unpredictable, un- negotiable entity called terror? or terrorism? or war? whatever.as the same people believe on the theory so as most of us do.

oops I tumbled into religion again. but its the known accepted fact. there might be contradictions or acceptance. but fact is the fact. however bitter truth is at some point it will be accepted coz thats what is actually witnessed. but still we try are level best to put up a mock ambience expressing unforgivable resent to the bad and convey a confirmed statement that yes we are living peacefully, however tense the situation outside in the countryside may be.
well, I guess thats the spirit. coz the more u live in a congested setting of terrifying premises both in the neighborhood as well as within urself u will only get restraints and resentment rather than peace and love.
but still thats not the solution. I wish not to give any conclusions and solutions either or else it will be a cliché of thoughts as if I have copied or written by heart from whatever I have heard and studied in my school days. but I know and u know what is the fact. so why pretend.why preach. why resent. why remorse. coz fact is as pellucid as the way u see it, read it and experience it.
We all know that we are living peacefully within an ozone of terrorism. if something could have been done, it could have been done. things created and invented for elevation of a country’s status with no regrets is today a gift to misuse and a reason to initiate the already existing cold war. thus continues the struggle of existence in terms of missile power. I have learnt in science, ’ survival of the fittest’. so would I associate this terminology in terms of progressive production of nuclear hell raisers. so shall we hail to it and share plaudits. after having totally succumbed to it. that is the sole reason for sprouting up parallel activities like terrorism, war that has gifted us today with 9/11 mishap, cross border terrorism and many wars that have a significant place in history.
its thanksgiving time this very season. should I as a species living in this very planet thank the creators and inventors of sudden terror as well as thank the ever following strength of human existence for giving us Peace prevailing in its own small way with its now turned occasionally pleasurable existence.
I wonder and will always wonder. the present relation between the two. they are inseparable and unavoidable. coz its high time to change. and talking about changing will only merely be words or energy packets once said and expelled into thin air.
Words can be said easily but difficult to be done.
Don’t preach if u can’t practice. Similarly. don’t advice coz however u promise to avoid it there will somewhere somehow be distrust and suspicion. its all there and can never be erased.
So happy living in a world of Peace that does prevail no doubt and will always prevail for the generations to come .
