Today morning I started my journey of searching a job. The moment I stepped out of my house I heard a conversation of my neighbours Tom and Jerry, two ten year old boys studying in same school and both of them having topped the class.
Tom: I am the best because I have topped the class.
Jerry: No, I am the best because I have topped the class and have scored more then you in mathematics.
Tom: So, what? I have topped in science.
Jerry: I am best in sports.
Tom: I am best in painting.
Jerry: I am the best.
Both of them started starting fighting. Their mothers separated them and gave an advice not to fight. Sigh of relief on my face and give an ear to their mothers conversation.
Jerrys Mother: Well, but my son is the best.
Toms Mother: No my dear friend, my son is the best.
And thus both the mothers start fighting while Tom and Jerry are playing happily. I left that place thinking human beings have complex nature. After roaming here & there in search of a job, I reached at an economic summit. Mr. A, the spokesperson at the summit invited Mr. X of GM Corp. to deliever a speech.
Mr. X: Good Afternoon Friends. We at the GM Corp. are the best in world, we are achieving highest turnover since last 5 years. We are the best because.......blah.....blah.....blah.....
Mr. A: Now I would invite Mr. Z of FM Corp.
Mr. Z: Good Afternoon Friends. I would proudly announce that we FM Corp. are one of the highest profit churning corporation since a decade and so we are the best.....blah....blah....blah....
I left the summit but I didnt find a job and landed at another summit.
Country A: We are the best in this world because we have one of the best technology, we have helped many countries..............................
Country B: Hydrogen bombs were invented by us, we were first to go to space and so we are the best..............
Country C: We are the oldest civilization on earth, what makes us best is..........................
I left this summit too but with my best bad luck I found myself at another summit on religions where again I found a quarrel between the followers of different religions each one of them trying to prove themselves the best.
I disheartened was walking down the lane where I found Yamraaj (king of hell). He asked me the reason of my being sad. I told him all the facts. Yamraaj told me that dont you worry, I would take care of all of them and would take them to my land (hell) and there is no population problem, no poverty, etc. So, I am the best. Meanwhile, Indra (king of heaven) arrives and scolds Yamraaj that how the hell can you call yourself the best, while I am the best because I am king of heaven and you are the king of hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One would find that its highly dramatized but then if I have a look around me then I only see that everyone wants to prove themselves the best which has already given two world wars and terrorism all over the world is in progress.
With the evolution of mankind, the human being has always tried to prove himself the best. And so no one knows when a desire turns out to be a greed. A person who proves himself best economically, then has a desire to prove himself best socially, then politically, and so on. Everyone wants to be immortal, wants to have his name in history books for ever. Whether its Akbar or Alexander, Napolean or Adolf, every person has a desire that he should be considered the best in whatever field he is.
Is proving oneself the best wrong? The answer can be both Yes as well as No. Excess of everything is worst and so its the excess of proving oneself the best that leads to major problems and most of the terror on earth; so excess of proving oneself the best is wrong; ones greed (and not desire) leads to excessiveness. Proving oneself the best to the extent of desire is good.
Can there ever be peace?
I have broaden the topic and havent kept it restricted to can there be peace in a world of sudden terror? The answer to this crucial question at first instance would look easy but when following it practically its far away from easy, its difficult but not impossible. KEEP BALANCE and CONTROL is the answer; the question could arise that how to keep balance and control, the answer to this question I find is Soul Searching.
If everyone stops proving oneself the best then there would be no spice in life, it would become monotonous and there would be no difference between us and robots. What we as human beings are required to do is stop following the sophisticated version of survival of fitess.

Many would find this review in wrong category but I dont think so that its in wrong category, what I have done is only broaden the topic. If majority of you out there would find this review in wrong category, then and then only I would tell the management to shift it to the right category.
