As a pilot, and have flown on many aircraft I would say Canada 3000 is among the average. Its definitely not the better quality service but its not horrible. When I went on my trip from Toronto to Los Angeles we boarded an Airbus 320. This type of aircraft is a medium jet and is much smaller than the common Jumbo Jet 747 but much larger than a Cessna. The seating is similar to riding on a bus. They provide you with small tight cotton seats with uplifting armrest, which is always a benefit. The meals were adequate, but I dislike airline food no matter what airline unless I travel first class. This aircraft like most others provides duty free on board with some selection of alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gifts. The prices are lower than they are outside plus they are duty free.
Depending on the duration of the flight they provide you with a certain amount of meals and beverages. On about a five hour flight we were served beverages twice with one meal in-between. They also provide you with a small glass of complementary white or red wine.
The downfall to this airline is that they only have one flight each day. So you dont have the option of taking a morning flight, afternoon flight, or evening flight. Also, when we booked our tickets there werent reserved seating just a confirmation that you have seating. When you go to the airport then you can reserve your seating and its first come first serve. However, I think as of January 7th, they now do reserved seating for their airline. The plane was full so there was no additional seats probably because the prices are cheaper and they only have one flight a day. As I mentioned the ticket price is cheaper approximately ten percent than other airlines. However, this airline charges you for headphones, and playing cards while most other airlines wouldnt. They showed two movies each way and are fairly recent movies. Overall, the service was reasonable with the prices of the tickets and they are quite punctual.
