Today it happened again! While withdrawing cash from Canara Bank ATM(installed in the Bank premises at Majitha Road, Amritsar), not only the machine did not lend any cash, it never returned my ATM card as well. It was 9:00 pm.i cheked the main building.there was some staff inside.
I went in and the person sitting on the customer care table(decent looking) was playing Spider Solitaire. When I told him about the problem, he says "kucch nahi ho sakta" with a "not concerned" look at his face.(ofcourse he was least concerned).then comes the gaurd from somewhere and tells me that I am not allowed inside at this time.I went to manager’s room and found a man sitting on manager’s chair.
When I wished him good evening and asked if he was the manager.he tells me he is not and that he is from some other branch, and he cannot assist me (for God sake, being an employee of Canara Bank group, I dont feel that he could not help). Anyhow there came another fellow.
He atleast cared to listen to my problem and told me to come in the morning and collect the card.when I told him that I need my card back and there has to be some way.he shouts at me and says "You seem to be in some depression"."PLEASE GO BACK HOME!"! ofcourse I was in a panic situation.and my concern about the safety of my card was genuine but he cared the least and labelled me as a patient of Depression.I seriously dont think they are given any classes on customer care.
Any 10th pass guy or any aunti ji type lady can do the job for them because they are hardly concerned.bus mahiney ke end mein salary mil jaye inko.rest can go to hell.I have my accounts with SBI, Kotak Mahindra and ICICI. Honestly, I have never felt like this at any of these banks.these bloody Canara Bankians humiliate people just because they dont have any replies to their querries.
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND CANARA BANK TO ANYONE.
