It is no wonder that the region of the French Riviera is one of the most sought after destinations in Europe, and perhaps, in the world.
A plethora of outdoor activities, romantic and scenic drives, breathtaking views, excellent mediterranean climate, all lead to one conclusion: A place to be visited.
I have visited the region several times. Each time, I end up discovering a new place, a new adventure.
I refer not only to Cannes but to the entire region. There are not many places in the world where one can go to the beach in the morning and go skiing in the afternoons.
There are many websites that describe this region, the best one I like, which has even listed waterfalls in the middle of nowhere, is https://beyond.fr.
The only drawback, if any, is that this is not really a heaven for vegetarians. Many French think that vegetarianism allows for sea food, snails, frogs and so on :-)
Overall, a truly exotic destination.
