The model line in which the EOS-30d sits has seen a total of five models, each offering either an upgrade in features, resolution or both. From the EOS-30d to 60d we saw a doubling in megapixel count as well as numerous features upgrades.

From all the angles, 30d and all his predecessor look identical. The one place you will see the difference between the two is on the back camera.
now if we talk about the picture quality the 30d did a very good job with the usual micro test. It did a fabulous job with the shutter speed which can be turned to micro sec. That means You can continuous click pictures if they are clear and focused.
Battery life of the 30d is great. It takes almost 100 min to charge the battery which last up to 1100 pictures without flash and with flash it last up to 750.
