Canon as we know is a big name in printers, cameras etc worldwide. Products are reliable and good in quality, but I do not know why these companies sometimes make toys to play. I purchased this printer from homeshop18 which describes this printer as wonder on the earth.
This printer looks good when you see on the desk but build quality is cheap, plastic used is of not heavy quality. It makes lots of noise that irritates. Let me first tell you about this printer in detail. This printer is 3 in one printer i.e. black & white and colored printing and scans documents. Its paper handling is not so good, as we give command for any print it makes lots of noises before printing and its cartridges run left right many times and then with a different sound paper get into the paper and it starts printing the paper(finally) then we have to wait again to let the paper come out of the printer. Its printing speed is also horrible mainly colored printing, black printing is still slow.
Its installation is easy, just insert the CD which you get with the printer and play according to the instructions and it will be done soon, this printer is user friendly, as giving command for printing is simple.
I can not say much about the service as I never used there service, but being Canon a word class brand you can expect good service from them, but the drawback is, the printer costs around INR 2400 and once your both cartridges gone and if you need to buy a new set, you have to spend around INR 2800(better get a new one). I heard parts are always expensive then the complete new machine but is this right just two cartridges cost you more then the whole new printer is it a joke or what.
So it was a waste of money for me, now it is a good scanning machine for me that too is very big for scanning job but that is the only thing I can do with this now,
