This is my second Canon pixma printer.I purchased it around 1 year ago.Every time you turn on the printer(in fact it seems every time you touch the thing) you may as well go away and do some gardening because it takes a lifetime to be ready. What it is doing, is going through every single print cartridge and squirting some ink away into the little sponge at the bottom of each cartridge.
Even if you only ever printed black and white, all too soon you’ll still have to replace all the cartridges. Also, it disabled the scanner until the cartridges are changed.You start with full inks, and after only 2 or 3 start ups, the indicator shows it’s gone down about 25%! A complete and utter rip off. I will never buy Canon again
