This is one of our favorite restaurant joint. We usually host our booze parties here. The main reason why we like this place is it is in Jayanagar, close to our office and the food is excellent.
My Favorite Menu is Chicken Manchow soup, it is a bit spicy but it is too good. My recommended starters would be Spring Chicken, Tapei Chicken, Mongalian Chicken as well as Shangai Fried Chicken. I am not a Veggie so I cannot comment on any Veg items, the only thing I had was crispy veg. It is a bit ok.
In the main course we usually order schezwan chicken fried rice, I once tried the prawns, but did not like it at all. Most of the gravy with the steamed rice taste the same, so we didnt like it too well. Rarely we order Hakka noodles as well as American Chopsey. The portions are quite good. I felt that the starters are good compared to the main course here. The main course could be shared between two people.
Just food will cost you some where around Rs.175-200 per head. The drinks are not that expensive, last time we went a team of 10 who went on a drinking spree along with food came around 5K, which is around 500 for a person. Again this depends on what you drink and how much you drink.
The ambience?? Actually there is no relation between ambience and this restaurant. It is way too far. It is one of the oldest joint in that area, so it looks quite dull, and there is no AC so in the afternoons it is a bit warm. Most of the people who come are young couples or friends.
Though it is called a family restaurant and people bring their family members along, I would not recommend it, though it is ok in the afternoons. I guess it would be quite full in the evenings and weekends.
The service is kind of ok, most of the people are from N-E of India. We did not find a single case where they had added any unordered items on the Bill.
On the whole it is a good place to hang around in the evening.
