I joined capgemini Bangalore unit about 1.5 back. The experience I am sharing is purely my personal views so as not to confuse and influence others negatively.
I was hired for a project which did not go off from day one. I was pushed aggressively by recruitment team to join the company as soon as possible, but on day one I was informed that the project is on hold. No body took any care to even explain what lays ahead for me and how I could be engaged. I have been sitting on bench since then for a year and half, cud you imagine. The worst part is the RMG( resource managment team) does not have even any visibility as to where any opportunity is available so that they can put the bench guys into project. Worse no body even care if you are coming to office or not and how long you have been on bench. The HR don’t even give any damn if you are facing any issue so far in the company. The management is really confused, they will tell in your face that you have search for project on your own. I don;t understand what the hell the RMG guys are doing then? I don’t know about other locations of capgemini, but in bangalore if you are on bench then you are doomed, unlucky.
Yes, you get salary every month though on time. But for people who are career oriented and want to work in a people friendly company, they should be extra careful in joining this company. Because this worse management would come into play at some point of your career.
