Well, finally there is another option for Metal Heads!! What I means is, Styx is no longer the only pub which plays some serious heavy metal in Bangalore. Not many people know about Carpe Diem. Its located in The Pavilion, 1st floor, Church street, off Brigade road. Just below Taika.
If your going there expecting it to be exactly the same as Styx then your in for a suprise. Its not the typical heavy metal pub, yes they do play some serious heavy metal as styx does but at the same time its not as corny as haze and Le rock. Its a up coming place relatively new so don’t expect it to be too crowded. The food there is about average and they have some interesting cocktails. But you wouldn’t care about that because as any rocker/metaller would tell you "its all about the music" Its a place which is gaining momentum as an exclusive Power and Prog Metal Pub but you are bound to hear some Retro and Rock. It get crowded over weekends and they play other types of metal apart from Power or Progressive.
Their music ranges from songs of the pop-rock era(70’s-80’s) to the now commercial favorites. And don’t be suprised if you catch a Blues or a Jazz number there as well.
And if had to sum up this place, it would be simple. Its not Purple haze and its not Styx either, but it fills the gap that is there between the two!!
