Wonder how she is able to sing like this during this age(came to know that she has crossed 86). Heard lot about her and about her great concerts in Chennai. She is the senior-most Carnatic singer in Kerala, in fact the senior most in India now.
I think she needs to be considered in the level of MS, DKP, and MLV. Chennai has recognized her after she crossed 75(too late). Her golden days she spent in Kerala(or after 75 is her golden days?).The concert in DD National was of 30 minutes duration, but that was enough for us to understand her. Smt. Bhama Krishnan provided vocal support. Avaneeswaram S R Vinu was on violin, Erickavu N Sunil was on Mridangam, and Trikkakkara Y N Santharam was on Kanchira. All accompaniments, especially Mridangam, was very good.
