Even though I have never given my car to Carnation for servicing, I can agree with the negative views expressed about Carnation in this forum. Some months back, a person from Carnation came to my house selling coupon booklets for discounted servicing.
My car was due for servicing. I normally give my car to auth service center, but I thought there is no harm in trying out a big name like Carnation. So I specifically told him that I would take my car to the Chembur outlet (close by to where I live) after a month.
He agreed saying the coupon was valid for a year and I purchased the booklet paying Rs 500. After a month, when I went to Carnation Chembur, I was shocked to be told that this service is only available at Carnation Kurla.
I showed them the booklet which clearly stated that the service could be availed at Chembur outlet, but they just refused.
So I told them I am not going to travel to Kurla just to avail of this booklet discount and asked for a refund. I then spoke to the Kurla customer service person. All they said was send a mail to some customer care id. I did send a mail, but as can be expected from such cheats, there is total silence from their side.
These guys are in this business only to make money by cheating as many people as they can. I have learnt my lesson the hard way. And if you are planning to give your car to Carnation, you have been warned.
