The 2 big animation houses have produced some excellent films. Disney Pixar making films
like A Bug’s Life, Monster’s Inc etc and Dreamworks rolling out films such as Shrek etc.
Now, this film has been made by Disney Pixar. Cars, one can easily say, has been the best
ever animation film. It contains everything, right from emotions, comedy, racy story and peppy
songs to add the extra spice to the film.
The Story.
This movie is about a racing car namely Lightining McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson). This
racing car is a rookie who is trying to win the Piston Cup in his very 1st attempt. He is
closely competed by 2 other cars. Now, the movie starts with a race where McQueen, tries to
finish the race without changing tyres. The tyres burst out and McQueen finds himself in a
photo finish with the other 2 cars, by stretching his tongue out. The judges, unable to
decide the winner, declare ano9ther race in California between the 3 cars.
Now, McQueen, on his way to California drops out of his truck(Mack) and loses his way into a
small town called Radiator Springs. In trying to get out of this town , he damages the road
badly. The residents of Radiator Springs protest for McQueen to lay down a new road.Here,
starts the tough life for McQueen. His attempts to escape from Radiator Springs fail
miserably as he runs out of gas. Finally, McQueen lays down the road perfectly. But, as he
finishes this road, he gets very close to the residents of Radiator Springs, especially with
Tow Mater ( An old Tow Truck) and falls in love with a Porsche 911.
McQueen is also inspired by Horny Hudson, who has been the Piston Cup champion for 3 years.
He learns driving techniques from Hudson and goes into the race with Hudson present in the
pits to cheer him up. Towards the end, though McQueen is a lap ahead of the other two, he
finds the present Piston Cup champion in a bad shape. He gives up victory and slowly pushes
the injured car through the line.
The soundtracks of the movie are excellent and the camera views and characters have been
made very well. Every car looks comparable to a human as the emotions flow with ease.
Though one might not agree to the fact of Cars being all by themselves, this movie makes one
believe it.The comedy comes from almost every Car and it is tough to judge the best character too. A thoroughly enjoyable ride for any person, young or old. Cars is by far, the
best animation film ever made....
