Today I would like to give a review on Casablanka - Banashankari which is located in Bangalore. This restaurent was introduced by my friend. He give his birthday party to me in this restaurent.
This restaurant is located in one of the busiest commercial area Banashankari After the recent renovation the restaurant looks very good from inside out. I think they have removed service hall and created a party hall instead!(But Im not sure).
Ambiance is good with systematically placed beverage counter, juice and ice cream counter and wash area. It consists decent number of seating and also stand-eat option. Kitchen is big and looks very hygienic. Though the serving area is broad they have assigned only one counter to dish out all south Indian dishes which creates a total chaos and confusion.
THE CHAOS: It all starts at the South Indian serving Counter, many people on the Sunday morning pour in to have south Indian breakfast. Instead of assigning separate counter for Dosa like many busy darshinis do, they have included it in regular south indian counter.
Many people who ordered Dosa will keep waiting near the counter and the people who want to order quick grab dishes like Idli, vada, kharabath will remain behind. This will result in gathering of huge crowd in front of the counter. Even the servers in that counter wont manage the crowd efficiently. They create more confusion and end up arguing with customers. It literally appeared like Single Window Bus pass distribution counter to me
FOOD: We first ordered Vada-Sambar, it was too good. It reminded me my old days with Aahar-Utsav. Then I ordered Masal Dosa and Rava Idli. Masal Dosa was good with less oil. But Rava Idli was just average. It was barely intact in idli shape. As soon as I penetrated it with spoon, Rava-Idli became rava uppittu. Taste of Rava Idli was not up to the mark. I recomended my all friend to go there at once.
