I read classics. Perhaps the only reason why I read this book was the hype surrounding it. Bit I was greatly disappointed. This is the worst book I have ever read.
The worst part of this book is the style that the author uses. The least interesting style, street language. I wonder what makes street language so interesting to other people. There are words like ’sonovabitch’ and ’bastard’ 10 - 15 times on a page.
People say, that connect themselves with the main character. I definitely didn’t!The story is about a loser, good for nothing boy, who curses every single person he sees. He drinks beer, flirts, fights . . . . etc .God heaven knows what makes this book so interesting to others.
When I read about 10 pages, I simply couldnt believe that this book is a classic. I kept on telling myself,
’Done worry. Read on. There might be Magic on the following pages. That is why this book is so appreciated, isn’t it ?’
But magic didn’t come. I regret having spent 5 hours of my life on this book.
