You really dont get to know of a site/company/merchants credibility till the time you run into any issues with their service. The kind of "after sale support" they provide is really what helps you make an opinion about them and stands other good ones apart.
On a simply transaction made via CCAvenue, the payment failed which really does happen sometimes due to multiple reasons. As the technology stands today I was pretty complacent about it and thought that the money would return to my wallet soon. I was fine also because the money can easily be tracked these days and refunded or forwarded to its righteous owner. But then you got to have the will and intention to do that.
CCAvenue(and Mobikwik was the other site involved using CCAvenues gateway) did not seem to have any intentions to refund my money though. After waiting so long, I ended up opening numerous support tickets with them(which were always assigned to some useless Ankit Patel) but I never heard from anyone EVER. Eventually my tickets were closed one by one. The automated emails do not have any sort of info or status. The ticket numbers hyperlink does not open to any page. The feedback link opens up to a 404-Page Not Found error. And I never received my refund either.
I was planning to sign up with CCAvenue for my businesss payment gateway as well but fortunately-unfortunately this issue happened and now Im NEVER EVER going to go for CCAvenue. A merchant site which is not good for me as a customer can never be good for me as a seller and thus for my business. Theyll only end up making me look bad.
Im also going to file an FIR against them at my earliest convenience.
I sincerely hope this helps someone and he/she is saved from any monetary losses. DO NOT do any business with CCAvenue involved.
