A dialogue Comedy!!

This Indian version of Mrs. Doubtfire is just inspired from the storyline idea of the Robin William starrer Hollywood blockbuster. It is not a total comedy. This movie is a dialogue comedy, wonderfully written by Gulzar.

When the loving father (Kamal Hassan) is forced to leave his 6 year old daughter, after separation with his wife (Tabu), he plans to babysit her as a female (because they need only women). Hence Chachi. The knitting of dialogues in different confusions is so hilarious that you’d miss the next scene laughing at the last one. All the actors suited their roles, Amrish Puri as the angry father of Tabu, Om Puri as the Assistant of Amrish Puri and last but not the least - Paresh Rawal, the Landlord of Kamal Hassan.

Gulzar is the backbone of the movie. Dialogues like ’’Pipe se pani nahin utar raha tha, socha main hi utar ke dekh loon.’’ are very much suitable to produce a confusion in the situation and make you laugh holding your abdomins. Also contains sentimental drama to make the movie a complete masala movie.

The direction is by Kamal Hassan. Performances are THE best. Soundtrack and background score is good by Vishal Bhardwaj.
