Chak De is about instigation, not about nationalism or any other "qualities that we are led to believe. Instigation is a very important part of leadership. Shahrukh Khan has given his best performance to date in this film. A real leader inspires when the team is good, instigates all the time, motivates it when it needs help.
The scene prior to the hockey match between the men’s and the women’s team is brilliant. it makes your blood boil and you instantly realize that india has never had a paucity of talent. What we had were delusional schizoprenic megaloamaniacs who were "crabs", waiting for an opportunity to please thier sorry, deluded selves by toying around with almost iconic personalities who were light years ahead of them. This movie makes us realize that the achievements of indian sportsmen are nothing short of spectacular. Please watch it, It is for your own good.
