Chalte Chalte directed by Aziz Mirza is the latest film from Dreamz unlimited, with ShahRukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee in the lead. Even though the album is melodious, it lacks the charm of the earlier Shah Rukh-Rani starrer Kuch Kuch hota hai.The film has two music directors, Jatin Lalit and Aadesh Srivastava but that doesnt make any noticable impact on the quality of the music. The lyrics except for one song has been penned by the veteran Javed Akhtar and he has indeed done a good job.
Abhijeet has got the best songs in this album.Tauba Tauba is the traditional Jatin Lalit score with the vocals of Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet and is quite melodious and pleasing which has an instant liking appeal.
Sunona Sunona sung by Abhijeet is among the best of the album. The promos shown on TV channels certainly adds to its appeal.
The title song Chalte Chalte is again a duet by Abhijeet and Alka and is one of the better songs weve heard recently. They also have an instrumental version of the same song in the album.
Lavi Na Gayee, a Sukhvinder Singh solo has lyrics by Pappu Dhillon and Babu Mann and is good to hear.
Ghum Shuda is a solo by Sonu Nigam and is just above average.
Dagaria Chalo by Udit Narayan and Alka is the typical Jatin-Lalit fare.
Tujh Par Gagan se sung by Preeti, Pinky and Sukhvinder Singh may be liked by certain people but is definitely the worst track of the album.
Overall its worth listening to.No harm in buying one.
