Da whorehouse

I was never fond of Kareena Kapoor. She is in reality -poo. It was not the roles that put me off, but the woman herself. She cannot act and is a shame compared to her sister. So when I seen the promos of Chameli, I didn’t know what to expect. So right enough I landed up in the theatre to watch it. Let’s give you a lowdown on the Movie.

It’s a rainy night and rahul bose’s (aman’s) car battery dies off. he is forced to take shelter under an arch untill he can find a mechanic. There he meets Chameli. She, is looking for customers. And he is not interested. Sitting there, they end up talking. she throws him a few sad stories about her life before laughing and admitting they were lies.

Thrown in is a eunach, it’s boyfriend, a little kid, some corrupt police officers, a pimp and an HIV+ politician. what starts off an interesting story get wrapped up into a ball and thrown in the garbage can. Turns out that the pimp, is Chameli’s uncle who has taken money from the politician and repays him with his employees. But now the politician wants Chameli, but she doesn’t want aids. Rahul bose ends up hurting the pimp when he tries to help him out by giving him money, but the pimp gets greedy.

Great job done by Rahul Bose. The songs are not needed and neither is the interval. The reason Kareena has got satisfactory reviews is that this is the first REAL role she has got. she has tried, but you cannot help but notice how Karishma, tabu or almost anyone else would have done a better job.

Over all, it’s an average movie that tends to get a little slow that has been given too much hype, just like it’s main actress -Chameli.
