I wanted to take admission at cu so I called them on 24th june 2017 on their helpline number. They said only 3-4 seats are left so please reserve your seat by paying Rs10, 000 and according to them the admission was completed provisional and upon applying for refund before 31st july one can get a refund of Rs.9, 000. So on 29th june 2017 I visited their campus and paid Rs11, 000(1, 000 for prospectus+ Rs10, 000 fee).
Then I took admission in a college in my city. So I applied for refund on 17th june 2017 by visiting campus. On page no-54 of prospectus it is clearly mentioned that refund will be made by cheque only on written application for refund, but they told me I will get amount transferred in my bank account next month i.e. august( IDK why tf they have mentioned that refund will be made by cheque as they didn’t gave me any cheque). Then I googled their refund policy. What I found was completely shocking.
I found there were a ton of complaints against cu on consumercomplaints.in about same issue. A ton of students were complaining that the didn’t provided any refund to them and there were a lot complaints from 2014-15-16. So I called cu and asked them when will my refund will be initiated, they said after 3 months upon asking why they said students take admissions till October and they will refund amount after all seats get filled. Now here is the irony, in june they said only 3-4 seats are left so reserve yours by paying Rs10, 000 and on 28th july they were saying student take admission till October. I called them again and asked if there are any seats lefts and guess what? They said same line, only 3-4 seats are left please reserve yours by paying Rs10, 000 wtf?

So I called 4 people and upon calling got same response from all of them. They have been struggling for 1/2/3 years to get refund. People at cu aren’t even talking to them.
Please never pay Rs1000 for registration fee its a scam. You can even get admission in October so why to pay Rs10000 in advance. Please share this to let us know. Now I will go to consumer court and file case against them. I am not alone, I have talked to other students too and we all will be going to consumer court.
