I have been using this soap from 1964 on wards even when I was a bachelor! It was available only in Sarada Stores of Secunderabad. From then till now I use the same. all my family members and relations know that my brand is Chandrika. In those there use to be a small advertisement in Telugu magazines. Its price was 75 paise only.
Why I write this review is, when I was in Kuwait my neighbour of Secunderabad apartment came there for a job. He got a job and used to live in Sharq area. I was living with my family in Fahaheel complex in 2 BR flat. He made a courtesy visit being neighbours in native land. When he visited me for second time on next Friday, I found his hands and face with rashes! I asked what happened. He could not answer me. I asked whether he took any fish or mutton(he was a non vegetarian). He answered negative. Then asked hin what soap he was using. He said. Lux. I told him to stop it - not that I have any aversion to that brand, I have noticed once that it is a bit harsh for tender skins. there was an Indian shop in our complex premises. I just went out and bought him 2 Chandrika soaps and asked him to see me next Friday with a feed back. Believe me not! He was fully free from all rashes and jumped on his heels when he saw me. Thanked me several times!.Really it a good soap. Particularly if any one finds rashes due to allergy it is best to try Chandrika. Price is now stands at Rs. 22/- M.R.P.
