Unbelievable yummness!!

For those who thought the word yumness was weird I agree..but its one of those reviews where you start and you are spechless as no one has already reviewed the product...which deserves a hundred!!!

Anyways here goes. Located on the Daryaganj main throughfare, this place is very easy to locate. Coming from the Dilli gate side you will see the unmissable roasting oven, large and burning brightly, with skewers loaded with large scrumtious chicken. You can see the browned and crisp flesh from the roast and no other advertisment could have worked better.

The place is not a restaurant, but a sleazy looking street joint with sleazier looking gentry around, thanks to a sarkari thekha next door. However the peak of business hours begins as people roll out of the theka their precious bottles wrapped up inside obscure packets,   jackets etc. There is standing space just around the entrance though now the owners have expanded inside and created a decent sitting area. Forget it though if you have women with you and if you are one, please be armed!

Now the chicken. A) Its not found anywhere else!!, the amzing recipe is a veritable secret and seems to be rare as I really havent seen a place which produces anything remotely similar. The cook(s)stand around two large tawa’s surrounded by vats full of foul and pleasent smelling concoctions. Yes foul but unmistakebly remniscient of an old misture of rum and mustard. I like to think so its rum, but I guess no one will ever tell me.

The chicken is sourced from the massive grill roaster out front, and isalready well cooked and ready. The pieces are torn apart by hand and chucked onto the tawas with ladles of onion, garlic pasts, the above liquid, and lots of coriander. Then begins the stirring of the chaos, till the gravy aqquires an even browned color and the vapors let you know that its ready. A little on the drier side the dish is slightly tangy and exceptionally brilliant in its ability to stand out assomething you have never tasted before.

Try it.
