Historical temple in Bengal architecture concept

Let me first inform you that ‘Char Bangla’ is Bengali word which means ‘Four(4)’ and ‘Bangla’ represents West Bengal.

This temple was built by Queen Bhavani of Natore(now in Bangladesh) which I explored last week as a weekend trip with my family.

It is a temple which is almost 400 years old and is made by small mud bricks. The temple is light brown in colour with well terracotta design are drawn on the wall of the temple.

Exquisitely modelled clay tablets depicting scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The temple is also a marvellous example of panels with depictions of classical design elements like floral, animal and environmental concepts. Each temple consist 3 Shiva Linga with three doors.

This temple is situated near Bhagirathi River whose scenic beauty enhances the reason to visit this temple. It is a unique Bengal architectural concept temple which will take only 30 minutes to witness this beautiful heritage and is worth to visit. You can also take photographs here but you will not find any guide as there is no need for it.
