My wife was caught by high fever on Nov 4th and UNFORTUNATELY we admitted her to Charnock Hospital near Chinar park on VIP Road crossing.
It was a disastrous and painful experience all through. They are trained to cut-throat is what I learnt.
They do every kind of irrelevant tests to ensure you end up paying at least 35K even if you have entered the premises for a mere fever. One of the RMO updated my wife on the 3rd day when we were expecting to get discharged that NS1 Virus is found positive, hence, we would need to wait for another day for the Sr. Doctor to be available, however, towards the end of the day when we asked for the report, it was updated that due to some confusion another patients report was read to us.
When we spoke to the consultant Dr on the 4th day about the status, he gave a go-ahead for discharge and re-confirmed that the report of NS1 positive was wrongly communicated. When I approached the medi-claim desk at the hospital, they gave a tentative time of another 5 - 6 hours for their formalities to get over. On demanding the reason, they updated that the insurance company has sent the query file to them last night at 6 PM post which the mediclaim department closes. I insisted on seeing the letter from my medi-claim company and saw the email receipt time to be 3: 44 PM. LIARS!
When I tried escalating the entire matter to the GM of the hospital, she casually updated that she would look into it. When I demanded an explanation about this NON-SENSE & spoke about filing police complaint about the RMOs wrong medical information parted to us, she was quick to reply that it is not a non-sense and would refuse to further speak about the matter and we could do whatever we feel is right and this was not updated on any written document and was updated verbally.
About the med claim team giving us wrong update, she didnt even bother to speak much and updated that she would talk to them.
Only source of some help came through Dr. Mita, who is the registrar of the company and gracefully assured all appropriate actions would be taken against these bunch of liars and scammers.
