Two of my brothers had joined Chate classes, to get trained for their 10th board exams, within intervals of 7 years. I am quite concerned and interested in new concepts and what my siblings learn from the various places they go. From the overall picture, I can say that the structure and quality of education at Chate has changed tremendously over years.
Chate has always been a competitor when it came to coaching institutes. Earlier it used to be small institution with great teachers and an Ok-Ok infrastructure. The study material used to be quite good, too. However, the picture seems different now. They have raised the fees exorbitantly and the facilities have quite improved a lot, which is why most students prefer joining this classes, for comfortable seats.
But the graph of the quality of education seems to be falling down gradually. I think the teachers are paid on hourly basis, and won’t wait to solve the queries of students. They simply ignore students who are not interested in being attentive. Most of the mathematical sums that are solved in the class are done only to derive the right answer, and there is no focus in the steps involved. These initial years and concepts lay the foundation for students, and the way Chate is preparing them is just not good. I am glad that I have the time and interest to intervene into these affairs of my siblings, but this isn’t really possible for most parents or siblings.
